略肖满脸沮丧地对我讲:“This time I thought I would definitely knock you down, but you still turned it over. I really feel bad that I cannot even beat you once.” 我笑道:“It seems you are so close to, but actually you are still far away from me. Remember, I’m on the second floor, you are still on the first floor.” 听到我的楼梯理论,略肖叹道:“Yeah, I know, but how can I go upstairs to the second floor?” “You need an enlightenment!” “But how can I attain the enlightenment?” “It’s not about your techniques; it’s about your mind.” “What do you mean ‘it’s about your mind’?” “Okay, let me tell you something. Mind is the origin. All the secrets are in your mind. Before you get enlightened, you learn from masters, teachers, and others; after you get enlightened, you learn directly from yourself.” “I’m sorry. It sounds nice, but I still don’t get it.” “Before you get enlightened, you really don’t know what is right, what is wrong, you have to ask your master to tell you the truth. Actually, you own the truth, but you just don’t believe it. You only believe that the truth is in your master’s hand. After you attain the enlightenment, you will suddenly realize the truth has already accompanied you since you were born.”
有一天,他对我说:“I wish to learn as many techniques as possible. I believe I will be a real master after I master all of those powerful techniques.” “Techniques are like leaves of a tree. It’s impossible and unnecessary for you to know all the leaves. You need to find root of a tree, so you can grow your own leaves.” “I definitely want to get the root, but where is the root?” “Don’t you realize yourself is exact the root you want?” “What do you mean ‘yourself’?” “There are many leaves, but only one root. The only one root is simple, and is inside of you.” “Your theory makes sense, but not practical.” “No, my theory is very practical, and extremely simple.” “How? Show me.” “Standing there like a tree as long as possible, you will become invincible.” “I agree Zhan Zhuang is the root, but it’s too boring.” “Well, what is your goal?”
